Francis George Shergold; born 31st January 1919; died 27th November 2008

We are very sad to report that Francis Shergold, President of Bampton Traditional Morris, passed away on Wednesday November 26th 2008. Francis was 89. The funeral was held on Monday 8th December at St Mary's Church, Bampton, and the reception at The Horse Shoe pub. Representatives of Cambridge, Moulton, St Albans, Chipping Campden, Ilmington, Abingdon, Oxford and Garstang morris attended the church which was packed.
